If you work in commercials, or you’re trying to break into them, we’re bringing together casting, representation and a working actor for a 90-minute Commercial Roundtable on October 17.
Join us in person at The Acting Center in Sherman Oaks or watch live from anywhere. Casting director and career coach Francene Selkirk will host and moderate, joined by Arlene Schuster-Goss of ASG Casting; Carol Lynn Sher, agent at CESD; and Eric Matheny, actor, director and co-founder of The Acting Center.
They’ll talk about what actually matters in today’s commercial market: how you present yourself in self-tapes, what casting and agents are looking for, how to work better with your representatives, how local hire really works, how to market yourself, and how to build the right team around your career. They’ll also clear up some of the confusion around casting platforms: what matters, what doesn’t, and why your materials may need to live in more than one place.
The event includes a 60-minute conversation followed by 30 minutes of Q&A, so bring your questions. If you’re joining us in person, we’ll also have a light luncheon reception afterward from 1:30 to 2:30 PM PT.
